The volume control is an important part of your signal path that professional guitar players know and understand. It’s an integral part of crafting your tone to perfectly suit the piece of music that you’re playing.

I know some guitarists that use only one (drive) channel on their amp. They rely solely on their volume control to change between a clean, rhythm and lead sound.
