Although it may appear that Gary Moore used a lot of gear, looks can be deceiving. Some fans argue that his tone is a result of “his fingers” and his ability to inject emotion into each note he played. The core of Gary’s tone was usually powered by a classic tube-based Marshal, which he controlled mostly via his volume control on his guitar. In addition to that, he applied a touch of delay and reverb. Although Gary claimed to own over 100 amplifiers, the gear that’s listed below is what he used live shortly before his passing in 2011.
