Satchel’s influences includes Eddie Van Halen, and his choice of gear (EVH signature heads) make this obvious. He is not heavily focused on guitar gear, as you will see by the minimum amount of gear he tours with. His main focus is on playing the guitar instead of being a gearhead. Although Steel Panthers music falls under the glam metal genre, Satchel is definitely no slouch on the guitar and has evidently spent a lot of time developing his craft.
