Spark X You is a service from Positive Grid that allows you to design a personalized grill cloth for the Spark Mini and Spark 40 desktop amplifiers. The design process takes place on their website. You upload an image, or use a pre-existing design, and then make the necessary size adjustments while previewing your changes in real-time.

Spark is a portable series of amplifiers recommended for home practice. They’re based on solid state amp modeling and feature a set of stereo hi-fi speakers.

According to Guitar World, Positive Grid (or Positive Grill) claims that “no other amplifier offers this level of customization.” This isn’t entirely true, considering a number of companies that offer mesh-based printing services. Why use custom artwork for a desktop amplifier when you could do the same for a 4×12 Marshal cabinet? After all, you would want to show off your designs to your audience.

Noisy Hammer (based in the UK) prints directly to high grade audio quality fabric. They offer an installation service at an additional charge, which entails measuring and replacing your current grill cloth.
